(a deliciously light
and fruity open-faced apple pie)
Preheat oven to 350. Prepare pie crust. Use 11 inch diameter quiche pan. Cover inside bottom of crust with natural applesauce. Cover appleasauce with thinly sliced apples, (I use Granny Smith or Cortland,) in a spiral presentation, as shown:
Cover apples with room-temperature apricot preserves. Rub edge of crust with milk. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Allow to cool.
